Notes and Quotes:
Overall finish was 3rd out of 34 teams. The girls played so hard and wanted to take home the gold so bad! They learned a lot about intensity and playing as a team, as well as how to find their inner drive. Those are all things that our team was lacking before we went into that tournament. We think our girls deserved to win that tournament and it was hard having to walk out with third being so close to the championship game. Our middles played an outstanding tournament, along with our setters connecting with our outsides and right sides with almost every set. When our serves made it over the net, they were almost always for an ace. Overall, their play was impressive, and we had a lot of fun making t-shirts for each other and eating out at Red Robin. It was a memorable experience! Congratulations on third girls!

Notes and Quotes:
We finished second in the entire tournament, which I believe moves us up to Bronze for the next power league. The team's goal for the tournament was to move up a division and the girls tackled that goal, no problem. We started the season with 12 girls and played the tournament with eight. We are very proud of their performance and excited for the new challenges that await us in the bronze division.

Once again we gave Cowlitz Blue a run for their money, but they prevailed. We aren't done competing with them though, see you guys at the next tournament! :) Not one of our best finishes, but we are saving our greatest performance for power league next weekend right? We as coaches have faith that the answer is yes!

Notes and Quotes:
We tied for 3rd overall in the tournament. Making it all the way to the semi-finals was quite impressive. We were both extremely pleased with the play of the team. The last match was a tough loss and the girls fought hard....We hate to lose! I think the girls are finally getting the competitive edge that they need to take an entire tournament. They are starting to find their inner drive and combine it with their teammates, which is making all the difference.

Notes and Quotes:
We won our pool and took 3rd in the entire tournament, losing only one game. Not quite sure why we took third with only one loss, but this whole power league thing can be pretty confusing sometimes. The girls did really well, their endurance is really starting to get stronger, due to their hard work at practice. Missed moving up to bronze by one team, we won't next time though!

Notes and Quotes:
We finished 2nd in our first pool and 3rd in our second pool. We were very impressed with our play in the first pool, and the girls ended up getting pretty tired during the afternoon play, which reflects in our scores. But overall we love the girls to death, and win or lose, they played their hearts out and for that we are proud of them.

POOL

BRACKET : CHAMPIONSHIP

L Cowlitz Blue 16-25, 25-16, 14-16

Bracket Finish = T - 5th

OVERALL FINISH = T- 5th

Notes and Quotes:
We finished second in our pool and were out first round in bracket play. For having only two practices we were extremely proud of our team. We have had a lot of sick girls and girls who play basketball, so having a full team at a practice was nonexistent. Much to our surprise they meshed amazingly well and we couldn't have been more proud of our play in our first tournament. We look forward to this weekend and have high hopes of placing well. Good job girls!
