Northwest Juniors Jamboree
February 26-27, 2005 @ Yakima, WA

The first day of the tournament proved a challenging one for the girls; although they should have been prepared for the afternoon wave, it seemed to throw them off. Seeded first in the pool, we proceeded to win one out of three matches, leaving us third by the end of the evening. The next morning, however, the girls came back with a vengeance, winning every game. Serving was spectacular on Sunday. Danielle Gilchrist (setter) nearly served a whole game, scoring 23 points in a row. Hannah Grenz, Courtney Teeters, and Alesha Shulz also had awesome serving runs. Our offense was finally clicking and the girls' transition was phenomenal. This weekend was truly a team effort, everyone contributed something to every win. Congratulations girls! You earned those t-shirts!!!

Power League Qualifier
January 23, 2005 @ Springfield, OR

The 14 Red team did an outstanding job in their first Power League debut. The girls came out strong in pool play winning their first two matches and then dropping the third by only two points in game three. In bracket play, the girls won 2 of their 3 games to 25 with some outstanding blocking, defense and offense surges. Top players for the weekend were Courtney Teeters and Danielle Nevers for their spectacular defense, Chelsea Dwyer for her offense and Holly Vogel for her strong blocking. You all played Awesome.

Pre-Qualifier Tournament
January 9, 2005 @ Longview, WA

14 Red performed very well on their first outing this season. They faced some tough competition in the morning, meeting up with three teams with many older kids, but they competed well, and learned a lot in the process. In the afternoon, the girls met two seventh grade teams and played spectacularly. By the end of the day, they ended up winning the challenge bracket! Although all twelve girls played awesome, some standouts were Courtney Nevers, Holly Vogel, Danielle Gilchrist, and Meredith Kretzler. Congrats girls!.
